The National Language Service Corps (NLSC) is a one-of-a kind federal government organization that offers U.S. citizens with language skills the chance to help communities and the government during times of crises, emergencies and non-emergencies, and short gap language needs; domestic and abroad.

In addition to the potential opportunity to serve in a volunteer capacity, membership in the NLSC also provides individuals with access to numerous online learning resources to help improve or maintain language proficiency and enhancement.  Also, NLSC members receive access to Lifestyle discounts, all of which are available on our members’ only website. Furthermore, the NLSC continues growing its members’ chapters across the country and abroad where they are able to network and participate in a variety of cultural and language activities.  Members can follow us on Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Instagram.

To participate in the benefits of membership, including the potential of serving in language assignments, you are required to become a member of the NLSC. There is no membership fee to join the organization and all members of the NLSC are considered volunteers but are also compensated with a stipend for any/all hours served. We do not offer full nor part-time positions, but rather requirement-based assignments that call for an individual with a diverse range of skill sets.
