You will lead the Nation s premier gateway to space for National Security, Civil and Commercial payloads into the future by translating system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment. ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) in various stages of sustainment supporting Space Force. Position is located at Orcutt, CA (Vandenberg Space Force Base).
Duties will include:
- Identify new range system solutions and integrate efficiencies in alignment range objectives to include procurement, assessment, and a demonstration that streamlines range operations, creating efficiencies in both operations and process
- Coordinate transition and integration requirements, including cyber security plans/approvals, to achieve successful transition of approved solutions into the operational baseline
- Implement security requirements and appropriate IT policies/procedures consistent with the range mission and goals as well as transition the to a DevSecOps as a service to future development.
- Perform engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
- Conduct engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of Launch Range and Network systems.
- Support system and subsystem requirements, architecture, and risk management products.
- Support project life cycle activities, including pre-award acquisition, requirements and design reviews, integration, test, logistics, and operational turnover.
- Work with developers and associated contractors with and through government counterparts.
- Track requirements to subsystems, generate requirements documentation, validate design meets requirements.
- Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines, and ensure system and project modifications meet requirements

- Good Knowledge in architecting complex Data Centre Relocation and Datacenter to Public Cloud (AWS/Azure) Migration.
- Experience in Public Cloud Infrastructure Build and Deployment, Infrastructure Automation (Ansible/Terraform), Networking, Security, High Availability / Disaster Recovery (HA/DR).
- Master s Degree in Systems Engineering Field, Software Engineering, Computer Science or demonstrated experience.
- Working knowledge of Eastern and/or Western Launch Ranges.
- Engineering experience with Launch and Test Range Systems (LTRS), IP Networks, Range of the Future (ROTF), and related.
- Working knowledge of Range RF, antennas, digital/analog processing, and associated systems architecture.
- Experience with project and systems engineering tools such as Risk View, Architex, TopView, Confluence, and similar.
- Cyber, technical, or project-related certifications, such as CISSP, CSEP, or PMP.
- Current DOD TS or TS/SCI security clearance.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
- Bachelor s Degree in Systems Engineering Field, Software Engineering, Computer Science, and/or equivalent with 3 years of industry experience.
- 3 years of experience with in one of the following, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information & Network Security, and System Administration & Network Management
- 3 years of experience in system design, development, integration, and testing.
- Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, test execution/witness, and test reporting
- Experience with project, and systems engineering tools such as DOORS, STK, JIRA, Webex, VrV, and similar.
- Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, root cause analysis, schedule risk assessment, solution definition, and conduct in-depth technical trade analysis, assessments and explain results of technical studies in a system engineering context.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
