We are seeking an Applications Systems Engineer 6 with collaborative and highly effective AI/ML, NLP, Full Stack Development skills to join our rapidly growing team. 
 
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Full Stack Development along with AI/ML and NLP capabilities, using Agile development, investigation, testing, and collaboration with the business partners, product managers, architects & other engineering teams
  • Implement real-time customer engagement services
  • Adopt and instill best practices related to AI/NLP ingestion, coding, and federation
  • Provide AI/NLP driven insights, develop analytical strategies, and develop highly effective AI and NLP solutions models for a wide array of business initiatives
  • Take the lead in business requirements gathering, and business/strategy planning
  • Perform and develop research, whitepapers, POCs, and use cases related to AI and NLP topics, and commit to new idea generation

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Location: This position can be based at the Wells Fargo site location(s) in North Brunswick, NJ; New York, NY; or Concord, CA. Relocation assistance will not be provided.  Applicants should reside in or around the target area(s) or be willing to relocate at their own expense. Other locations may be considered.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 10+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in data, systems, applications, or architecture
  • 5 + years of Java Web Services experience
  • 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 5+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
  • 3+ years of experience in Java or Python NLP machine learning frameworks such DL4J or ND4J
  • 3+ years of development experience with languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or R
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Agile approach to IT development; experience working throughout the complete lifecycle (from idea to execution)
  • 5+ years experience working in Retail and Commercial Banking Systems
  • Experience working with teams across multiple locations including Off-shore
  • Ability to manage a team of 10+ people
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative Client Relationships
  • Ability to work in a positive, collaborative working style, with clear communication
  • Ability to implement Real-Time Customer Experience/Customer Engagement Engine implementations using 3rd party vendor solutions like Sales Force or PEGA or TERADATA
