In this position as a Web Developer 5, you will act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. You will be responsible for supporting a specific LOB within Consumer Lending by developing new and/or enhanced functionality for the applications utilized by the LOB, as well monitoring and participating in production support and release and deployment activities.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Evaluating systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution.
• Researching and tracking new web technologies, develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems.
• Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards.
• Leads the development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet applications on one or more diverse platforms.
• Uses advanced knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions.
• Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

This position can be based at the Wells Fargo site location in either Charlotte, NC or Eagan, MN.  This position is NOT ELIGIBLE for relocation assistance. Prospective candidates should reside in and/or around the target site locations or be able to commute to either of these site for employment.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of UI (User Interface) experience
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 3 + years of AngularJS experience
  • 7+ years of web development experience; including programming and developing web applications



Desired Qualifications

  • UI (User Interface) experience
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of home lending or consumer lending
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Git or GitHub experience
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience programming or developing applications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills



Other Desired Qualifications

• Experience leading, designing, and developing UI solutions
• Practical experience with the following technologies:  JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, jQuery, Bootstrap, JSP, Spring MVC
• Experience using YUI2, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Tomcat
• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Webpack
• Experience with cloud technology development to include:  Microsoft Azure, Cloud Foundry, etc.
• Experience developing micro front-ends
• Experience developing applications for Usability and Accessibility
