Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The Real Estate Portfolio Credit Risk Team is looking for a Consumer Credit Associate to join the Credit Portfolio Risk team.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a strong ability to communicate effectively within credit risk, operational risk partners and senior management. Qualified candidates must have: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in SAS programming, and a results driven attitude committed to producing high-quality work. The Consumer Credit Associate will be responsible for strategy development, credit risk analysis, and monitoring and reporting for the Home Lending portfolio. The individual will work closely with the business line and risk management within Home Lending and requires an ability to develop partnerships across functional areas.

Specifically, this position will:

  • Provide marketing support via ad-hoc analysis or monitoring risk zone performance
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with technical partners to implement strategies
  • Develop or enhance line management strategies
  • Develop robust reporting and monitoring for Marketing FRA/Utilization campaigns and Line Management strategies; monitor strategy performance
  • Ensure credit strategies and reporting comply with Consumer Credit and Enterprise Policies and models used in credit strategies comply with Model Risk Management policy
  • Provide ad hoc analytics to support portfolio risk management

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a risk role; or a Master's degree or higher in business or economics
  • 2+ years of SAS programming experience





Other Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent SAS, SQL , and Excel skills in performing complex large data manipulation; comfortable with complex database environments
  • Prior analysis experience
  • Consumer credit risk management experience in mortgage or home equity
  • Prior experience in account management area
  • Prior analysis experience
  • Demonstrated excellence at developing of sound credit risk processes and when needed, evaluating and enhancing existing processes
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven and performance-oriented; possesses a strong work ethic
  • Well organized with strong capability in managing multiple priorities and meeting project timelines and deliverables
  • Experience with decision trees
  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (econometrics, engineering, operations research, statistics, mathematics, etc.)
