Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

This Technology Relationship Manager 1 will support the Information and Cyber Security (ICS) program for Canada and/or Latin America.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support all Canada legal entities; provide proper coverage, Information, and Cyber Security support within Canada, as well as support alignment of enterprise initiatives/projects; help provide increased visibility and support to the Canada Branch Region
  • Leverage established relationships with business, technology, and risk partners to ensure that information security risks are appropriately identified and managed
  • Perform direct consultation with regionally aligned partners in Information and Cyber Security (ICS), Wells Fargo Technology (WFT), Information Risk Management, and Technology Risk Management Oversight to ensure information security risks are identified, discussed, dispositioned, appropriately mitigated, and/or escalated for further review
  • Work closely with the Regional Risk Officer teams to review regional regulatory requirements to determine impact on Information Security (IS) programs and line of business (LOB) activities in the Canada and/or Latin America region
  • Identify and report IS matters requiring escalation, track training and awareness compliance, and participate in reverse audit and regulatory response activities

This Relationship Manager will focus on:

  • Data analysis on regional regulatory requirements to determine impact on IS programs and LOB activities
  • Third Party Relationship Management program activities for Canada and/or Latin America including IS subject matter expert (SME) consultation, and IS policy compliance monitoring and remediation
  • Activities surrounding Cyber Defense within Canada and/or Latin America

Specific Duties will include:

  • Consult on Information Security (IS) matters related to Third Party Service Providers (TPSP)
  • Monitor TPSP compliance with Wells Fargo Information Security policies
  • Provide Information Security expertise to aligned business and/or applicable teams
  • Facilitate Information Security Training and Awareness for the region as required
  • Identify and report on Information Security matters requiring escalation to aligned business and/or Group Information Security Leaders (ISL)
  • Work with product owners to ensure all Information Security policy exceptions are properly documented
  • Understand the local and regional regulatory requirements and how these regulations impact Information Security risk within the region
  • Provide required documentation for escalation to Information Security Risk committees
  • Participate in activities related to Reverse Audit
  • Provide input to assessment team planning; provide focus areas
  • Report assessment findings to Information and Cyber Security (ICS) and Wells Fargo Technology (WFT) stakeholders
  • Track and report on findings remediation schedule and status
  • Work with Qualys remediation activities
  • Provide initial notification and status updates to LOB, regional, and ICS leadership
  • Build stakeholder engagement
  • Track and report on status of actions taken to remediate vulnerabilities and threats
  • Escalate elevated risks/threats pertinent to regional LOB leadership
  • Prepare and present Cyber Threat Intelligence briefings to regional leadership and team members
  • Track control remediation and/or implementation of relevant mitigating controls
  • Track Security Plan reviews and associated Action plan deadlines
  • Monitor Information Security Risk Appetite Metrics
  • Provide input to the development of Information Security Risk Metrics
  • Validate International Information Security Monthly Report (IISMR) reporting
  • Compose Regional Information Security Commentary
  • Identify, report on, and address negative trends within assigned Region
  • Escalate breaches of Risk Appetite boundaries
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement and consensus building to ensure timely approvals

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of information security experience
  • 3+ years of technology delivery and relationship management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Data collection and reporting experience
  • Information Security reporting and analysis experience
  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements documents and system flows to translate into reporting requirements
  • Ability to manage information governance policies and procedures
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Large-scale project management skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
  • Experience developing and executing communication strategies by collaborating with large, matrixed teams
  • Experience managing third party relationships and measuring performance results
  • Relationship management experience delivering technology services between one or more internal technology organizations and small to medium-sized internal lines of business

  • Experience with financial services businesses in a regulated environment
