Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company’s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company’s shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

The Finance Senior Analyst opportunity on the Regional Finance Team will be responsible for partnering with and providing financial support and analysis to the Private Client Group (PCG) regional leadership teams within the Wells Fargo Advisors business.  The position will perform pro-active financial analysis on markets, complexes and branches within PCG to help drive performance, utilizing business metrics and management scorecards to assist regions/markets in understanding connection between driving best practices and financial performance. 

Primary duties include profitability analyses for branches, markets, and regions, presenting these findings and/or solutions to the regional leadership teams.  Serve as a partner to regional management team to research financial issues and variances, provide guidance on financial policies, and perform ad-hoc financial analysis as directed.  Create and maintain monthly reporting in support of regional business unit reviews with PCG executive team.

Other general responsibilities will include partnering with regional leadership teams in developing annual targets; identifying, analyzing and reporting on business trends; resolving problems and issues related to regional financials; and producing regional reporting as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Business and 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, financial reporting, accounting reporting or risk reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of profit and loss (P&L) drivers
  • Hyperion Essbase experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
