Department Overview
Wells Fargo Technology (WFT) team is responsible for enterprise-wide infrastructure services across the global footprint, including networking, production services, storage, data centers, mainframe, midrange and Cloud-based systems, distributed systems, and international infrastructure.

About the Role
Provides technical leadership to internal and external personnel on highly complex system installation and administration activities. Provides technical solutions and escalated support for non-routine, highly complex technical issues.
Develops strategies to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application. Monitors system maintenance and provides appropriate recommendations, when required. Implements solutions and refines procedures as appropriate. Researches current systems technology and serves as subject matter expert on complex systems, processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
• Participate in rotating shift/on call coverage, as needed to support organizational goals for 24x7 Data Center Operations.
• Mentor team members technically on Unix (Linux/Solaris/AIX) and be a point of contact for any production support issues. Adhering to SLAs and work with SME on root cause analysis, troubleshooting technical issues.
• Acts as a lead customer issue resolution engineer and takes ownership of all assigned tickets, including customer communication on appropriate developments and progress.
• Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Utilizes standard tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.
• Good exposure in Incident management (CR/WO/WR and Incident tickets) and vendor management.
• Work with the team on critical issues and Major Incident calls in the event of outage.
• Generate and work on various program metrics using reports and automate procedures to enhance process
• Prepare and update technical documents
• Responsible for driving technical service resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Works closely with team members on testing, upgrades and configuration of system and services. Evaluates and ensures changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based upon results.
• Monitors operating system tasks, which includes memory and processor utilization. Conducts operational and possible faults checks. Resolves matters of significance and implements corrective course of action as needed.
• Coordinates with business development personnel on proposals and work estimates involving highly complex system administration projects and solutions.
• Develops and analyzes highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance. Initiates reviews as appropriate.

Essential Qualification

• Minimum 10+ years of experience
• 7+ years of experience on Unix administration (includes Linux/Solaris)
• 3+ years of experience on AIX
• 5+ years of experience on VCS/VxVM
• 2+ years of experience on RedHat native clusters (Conga & Pacemaker)

Desired Qualification

• Good understanding and knowledge of ITIL concepts 
• Awareness on emerging technologies such as "OpenStack/Puppet/Ansible/AWS"
• Excellent written and verbal skills along with good analytical and problem Solving skills
