The mission of Marketing is to build the best possible brand, experiences, and engagement with our customers and stakeholders that reflect our commitment to our customers and their needs and to driving key business and stakeholder outcomes.  In support of this mission, Marketing is responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies across Wells Fargo’s business lines and geographies; leading brand strategy; leveraging deep insights and analytics about consumers and businesses; executing customer messaging across all channels and touchpoints; and building out capabilities that move toward real-time, always-on, personalized and compelling messaging and digital experiences.

The newly created Heritage Strategy and Engagement Lead within Wells Fargo Marketing Brand Transformation Strategy will lead the strategy development, execution, and on-going management of Wells Fargo’s vast and, unique heritage assets. This role will lead teams engaged across Wells Fargo’s Corporate Heritage, Heritage Marketing & Museums and Stagecoach Experience Programs, inclusive of live programs and events such as live stagecoach experiences and the twelve Wells Fargo Museums. This leader will engage with teams across the Wells Fargo enterprise and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
Develop a holistic, multi-year approach to leverage and translate Wells Fargo’s vast and unique heritage assets into modern, engaging and relevant stakeholder experiences (for customers, team members, communities, etc) to competitively differentiate the brand and build value. This leader will develop and implement a holistic heritage strategy relevant across programs, and in support of the company as a whole.  This role will be responsible for leading teams that manage the stagecoach experience program and  Wells Fargo Museums, ensuring strong and sustainable operational and risk processes in alignment with Wells Fargo’s risk management framework.

The individual will lead the team to establish, manage and monitor effective operational process across all heritage programs. All operations will be in alignment with company controls, including managing legal, compliance, risk and technology requirements.

Risk management is a key responsibility of this role including identifying, understanding and managing risk. The individual will lead a team to establish, manage and monitor effective operational and reputational risk identification, mitigation and management processes, with a specific emphasis on live experience programs including stagecoach events and museum programming. 

Drive engagement across stakeholders (Team members, customer, the general public, etc) with Wells Fargo’s heritage assets. Includes leading teams to develop and implement marketing programs to drive engagement and demonstrate impact.

This role will act as the advocate for Wells Fargo’s heritage programs with internal and external stakeholders.

Manage, develop and lead a team with unique expertise to strategize and implement corporate-wide heritage programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of marketing experience
  • 6+ years of management experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading heritage marketing programs or operations
  • Proven ability to influence and lead by gaining buy-in on vision
  • Proven experience overseeing or leading complex experiential programs
  • Demonstrated ability to create engagement and appeal amongst customers and communities with marketing assets.
  • Executive presence with the ability to interact with all of level of employees from retail team members to the CEO
  • Risk management background with the ability to mitigate both reputational and operational risks
  • Professional background with demonstrated understanding of a complex operations of a multi-faceted team spanning across multi-levels of employees within a matrixed setting
  • Superb relationship management and collaboration skills with the ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience overseeing third party vendors
  • Experience leading teams of 20+ individuals
  • Experience with corporate archives, stagecoach, museum or other similar properties a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Previous experience overseeing operations is a plus
