Responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives. Examples might include, but are not limited to: finance /operational / executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership or general program oversight. Provides leadership in the integration /implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations. Specifically, will organize, plan, and direct IT Platform Life Cycle Management (LCM) events such as: Hardware and software tech refreshes, standing up new infrastructure, post migration clean-up of old servers, transferring hardware assets, upgrades, supporting application team requiring infrastructure, and other events supporting our charter. Prior experience of Hardware Infrastructure and Server Life Cycle Management is required. The ideal candidate should have track record as a recognized expert and visionary in providing strategic business solutions to enterprise-wide technology initiatives. 

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge and at least 10 years of experience of server capacity management methodologies, a deep background in distributed technologies like Windows, UNIX, VMware, Linux and AIX as well as knowledge of other platform technologies (Operating Systems, Storage, Memory, Network, Firewall, Gateways, Shared and Dedicated infrastructure, etc.) Should have advanced level expertise with infrastructure management processes, developing long term Distributed Platform Capacity Management and Planning strategy, develop functional requirements with regard to capacity management, creating business system profiles, setting key performance indicators, assessing impact of infrastructure resources' future growth and recommending appropriate infrastructure configurations. Also provides leadership in the integration /implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross-functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Collaborates with Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Infrastructure teams to assist them with Hardware and software tech refreshes, standing up new infrastructure, post migration clean-up of old servers, transferring hardware assets, upgrades, supporting application team requiring infrastructure, and other events supporting our charter. Provides hands on performance tuning support to application teams.

Must have expert level knowledge with server monitoring and/or analysis software tools (HP OVPM, AppDynamics, Splunk, etc.). Experience working with offshore team is highly desired. Acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff and applies knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position Wells Fargo for the future. 



Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 3+ years of communications experience
  • 3+ years of consultative business analysis experience
  • 3+ years of performance tuning experience
  • 3+ years of strategic planning and development experience
  • 9+ years of information technology experience
  • 2+ years of Splunk experience
  • 6+ years of distributed servers platform experience
  • 6 + years of technology infrastructure management experience
  • 1 + year of technology management experience supporting integration activities
  • 2 + years of technology project management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of process definition and documentation experience
  • 5+ years of process design or improvement experience
  • 5+ years of process engineering experience
  • 5+ years of reporting experience
  • Ability to deliver concise, time critical information to all levels of management, technology and business teams
  • Ability to deliver, evaluate, or test large technology efforts
  • Ability to dissect complex situations and refocus on the most critical technology tasks
  • Ability to identify business needs and deliver solutions in close partnership with line of business and technology
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Ability to manage multiple or large technology infrastructure components
  • Knowledge and understanding of application and distributed system technology projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of implementing technology solutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology processes and technologies
  • Experience delivering, evaluating, or testing large technology efforts
