Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) - Hospitality Finance Group (HFG) is a specialized lending division within Wells Fargo’s CRE group that provides financial products and services to leading hotel owners throughout the United States.  We focus exclusively on the lodging sector, and our customers, generally speaking, are engaged solely in the hospitality business.

The position shall require an individual to perform moderately complex to complex administrative tasks in support of a commercial real estate lending office, which includes supporting relationship managers and senior managers who are largely based in Washington, D.C., but shall also assist other team members across the country.

Duties may include:

  • Filing monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements;
  • Compiling information; 
  • Preparing moderately complex reports/presentations using appropriate software (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); 
  • Creating and editing complex and/or confidential documents/correspondence using appropriate software;
  • Handling travel arrangements and scheduling meetings for team members;
  • Coordinating and organizing business events and conferences;
  • Preparing and submitting expense reports;
  • Balancing routine general ledger lines and/or expense accounts;
  • Handling/preparing packages for overnight shipping;
  • Conference room scheduling, ordering supplies and handling office/equipment maintenance requests;
  • Assisting, screening and selectively referring callers to HFG members or other parties within the bank;
  • Answering general questions regarding business unit policies and procedures;
  • Coordinating with cross-sell partners; and addressing complex and sensitive inquiries/calls from external/internal sources;
  • May work closely with both internal and external customers in order to offer proper customer service;
  • May be responsible for providing support to the business line staff in the areas of reporting, customer/business documentation, sales and service goals.  Such assistance will include establishing and enforcing office procedures and controls.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative support experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Experience supporting senior level leaders/executives
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Ability to proactively manage and mitigate issues
  • An AA/AS degree or higher
  • Ability to manage changing travel itineraries, accurately manage expense reimbursement, manage a busy calendar and appointments flawlessly
  • Notary Public License
  • Ability to communicate confidentially and professionally
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years administrative support experience
  • Experience screening and handling phone calls directed to managers and assisting with group-wide communications
  • Banking, commercial real estate and/or finance experience helpful
  • Good demeanor and works well with others
  • Willingness to become a D.C. notary




Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

DC-Washington: Min: $49,100 Mid: $68,200
