Within the WFAM Data Warehouse Team, there is an open position for an Application System Engineer who will be part of the WFAM Data Warehouse Team.

The team is looking for a self-motivated/self-directed application developer/engineer who has experience working with data warehousing technologies, and willing to learn new concepts, e.g. building cloud applications.  As a Senior Developer/Engineer, you will design, develop and unit tests applications.  The team member selected for this opportunity will participate and be actively engaged in daily stand up’s, Iteration showcase/review and Iteration planning and retrospective meetings. In this environment, you will collaborate with different team members including:  IT Partners, Quality Assurance Engineer’s and Business Partners to effectively deliver value.

We’re looking for team members with the following technical traits and competencies:

• Demonstrated experience in spotting opportunities for automation and efficiency and provide feedback in the appropriate forums to foster an environment of constant improvement.

• The ability to help the organization achieve and mature in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

• Strong technical aptitude in terms of troubleshooting production issues and solution implementation

Team members selected for this opportunity will be based in either of the following Wells Fargo location(s):  Menomonee Falls, WI or Charlotte NC  



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 7 + years of computer application development experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of UNIX experience
  • 2+ years of Perl or Shell experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure product and services operations including but not limited to; product lifecycle management, product planning, vendor management, service reporting or portfolio management
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 2+ years of Incident Management System experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3+ years of data warehouse experience
  • 2+ years of Java experience
  • 2+ years of .net experience
  • Experience with cloud-based computing
  • OpenStack experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of JDBC
  • Informatica experience

• Ability to work additional hours as needed

• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment
