Under general direction, the Brand Manager directs and coordinates marketing programs and strategic Marketing activities for a single, mid-size brand or a few smaller related/aligned brands and/or the attainment of brand sales and profitability goals. The purpose of this position is to drive growth, volume, share and income for the Business.


  • Support the values and policies of the organization.
  • Develop work policies and procedures, monitor procedures for opportunities to improve.
  • Conduct regular and ongoing analysis of brand performance.
  • Coordinate the activities of market research, production, sales, finance, new products, exports and advertising.
  • Execute marketing initiatives and activities.
  • Manage the profitability of a brand.
  • Negotiate and work with Corporate Office in Mexico.
  • Negotiate and work with internal and external research and advertising agencies.
  • Work very close with Marketing Department in Mexico in order to classify activities and initiatives that could be adapted for the US Market.
  • Works closely with US and Mexico Sales and Trade Departments to communicate the Marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Brand Strategies

  • Gather and analyze data for the design of short, medium and long term strategies.
  • Proactively scan the marketplace and industry for areas of competitive (within or outside industry) packaging innovation, health trends and excellence for potential brand application.
  • Determine overall marketing objectives and recommend strategies including advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future development of a specific product.


  • Manage and analyze performance results for each of the products (current and new) through consumer research, Call center complaints, sales, returns, product rating, VCM, ACV% and market overview to identify product opportunities.
  • Research, develop and execute new product launches into the market place including plant feasibilities.
  • Weekly follow up for new products, pre-during-post the launch dates (26 Weeks Market tests).
  • Develop the Go To Market document under PS-Imports guidelines for new items.
  • Responsible for product coding in BBU data warehouse following current coding protocols across all elements in the brand hierarchy (PL4,PL3,PL2,BL4,BL3,BL2,product name structure, weight, product count, product dimensions and product cost)
  • Responsible for Managing and maintaining the product gallery for PS-Imports up to date.
  • Coordinate forecast production for new items amongst sales regions and validate those numbers against current trends/averages per route/averages per customer in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a flawless and sufficient offering execution.
  • Produce forecast for new items in planning periods.


  • Propose promotions that go in accordance with the strategy and the identified opportunities.
  • Co-brand and promote the Brand with category leaders.
  • Weekly follow up for consumer promotions, pre-during-post the launch dates.
  • Analyze the result and the impact on sales. Identify if the expected sales lift and profit was achieved.
  • Coordinate forecast production for consumer promos amongst sales regions and validate those numbers against current trends/averages per route/averages per customer in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a flawless and sufficient offering execution


  • Carry out marketing activities (new product launches, advertising, promotions, events, etc) in accordance with the Strategy.
  • Supervise the correct execution of the Marketing Strategies in the market.
  • Analyze the result and the impact of the activities.


  • Gather and interpret market information.
  • Recommend pricing and costing strategies.
  • Request financial information about profitability and elasticity.


  • Design advertising activities aligned with the strategy.
  • Create and develop an efficient and effective communication plan.
  • Lead the client side of Agency relationship to shape a clear and relevant brand consumer message through the creation of world-class advertising.
  • Supervise and analyze the approved advertising plan pre-during-post the implementation.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing plus 3-5 years of experience. MBA is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • The ability to develop and complete a series of goals and tactics.
  • Maintenance of the confidentiality of any personal or company information encountered.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish
  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe environment through compliance of all Company, Local, State and Federal mandates or programs.
  • Create a Continuous Improvement environment by improving products, service, and processes with the objective to reduce waste within the Region while striving for efficiency and profitability.
