Description:

Reporting to the Brand Manager for Marinela, the Assistant/Associate Brand Manager assists in planning, developing and implementing brand, category management and marketing strategies and program activities for the leading Hispanic Cookie and Snack cake brand in order to drive growth, volume, and share. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and execution of brand strategy and marketing programs, key initiative project management, product portfolio strategy, and the coordination of field sales, cross functional teams, and suppliers as directed. The ABM would provide support to the Brand Manager on leading the brand, along with having full ownership of specific initiatives around digital and social media.

Key Job Responsibilities:

· Collaborate to develop annual business and marketing plans for relevant categories of responsibility with appropriate objectives, strategies, programs, tactics and rationale.

· Manage and coordinate efforts of functional groups on key initiatives exercising sound judgment when providing direction to these project teams.

· Support the planning and execution of key business and marketing activities related to positioning, product development, packaging, pricing, consumer and shopper marketing, advertising including social media, and market research.

· Develop localized business plans in conjunction with the BU Market Areas and Retailer Customer Teams.

· Support in developing new products, line extensions, and product improvement recommendations based on consumer learning, competitive and internal sales trends and manufacturing opportunity.

· Collaborate with external agencies on the planning of marketing conferences and PR programs

· Work with Mexico s global marketing and Marinela marketing teams to align global efforts

· Manage sales reporting, sample requests for sales and account teams, couponing, and other ad hoc requests related to the business

· Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor s Degree in related field, ideally with emphasis in Marketing.

· Strong progressive Marketing background with at least 2-4 years of experience. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.

· FMCG or Food Industry experience preferred

· Spanish language is a plus

· Strong Leadership and Personality skills

· Excellent persuasive communication skills: written, verbal and presentation.

· Ability to multi-task organize time and lead groups with minimum direction

· Strong understanding of business planning and strategy, marketing principles, analysis, promotions, budgeting, project management

· Familiarity with Sales, Manufacturing, R&D and Finance principles

· Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to generate business insights from diverse data sources

· Self-starter with proven ability to manage complexity and problem-solve

· Computer skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and other software/ applications
