Performance Health is seeking an 2nd Shift Outbound Operations Manager to join our team in Indianapolis. The Operations Manager manages and supervises activities within assigned areas of the Distribution Center. Works closely with the Site Leader to understand and support the achievement of the facility goals for cost, quality, and safety.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily distribution center functions including order filling, expedite, checking, packing, truck unloading, replenishments, sanitation and maintenance
  • Work closely with the Site Leader, other Department Managers and Supervisors to establish and understand the goals of the DC and support achievement of the facility goals from a cost and productivity standpoint
  • Work with the Supervisors to develop plans to fix any operational issues that are encountered within the department. Initiate communication with the Site Leader to notify them of any operational or personnel issues that may negatively impact operations
  • Review performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, federal, state, local and Performance Health policies and Standard Operating Procedures (ISO, VAWD, AIB, DEA, etc)
  • Develop action plans to improve the operational processes; promote continuous improvement strategies
  • Manages all staffing functions (interviewing, hiring, assignment of duties, training, cross-training, personnel development, performance reviews and coaching) for department
  • Participate in the training and implementation on new procedures or process changes (including SOP's and DC specific policies) that need to be introduced to the DC personnel
  • Track, analyze and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to staff and DC Management
  • Work with Site Leader to establish and manage annual budget and expenses
  • Participate in Quality Management Systems (QMS) projects and committees. Actively supports QMS initiatives
  • Manages programs such as Safety Program
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; preferred Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain
  • 5-8 years of management experience in a high-volume Distribution Center; must have a thorough understanding of outbound and receiving functions
  • Experience with utilizing warehouse performance, safety and efficiency metrics
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems(WMS)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability including: Excel and PowerPoint
