This position is responsible for the support and management of applications across the Integrated Business Technologies - Enterprise Application Services Organization. This person will also maintain several customer relationships within the organization. This person will manage the following roles: Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Lead Application Analyst, Sr. Applications Analyst, and Applications Analyst. The Manager of Financial Applications acts as a single point of interface to the client both internal and external, as well as divisional contacts across the enterprise. He/She must have experience with Financial implementations, hardware, network and/or systems upgrade projects, Data Warehousing, Internet, and Intranet and are aware of emerging business technologies. He/She is responsible for maintaining the program budgets as part of the departmental budget. He/She ensures that program scope is in line with enterprise goals. 5-10 years of professional experience in information technology program management. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Shared Service teams delivering ultimate service through faster and more accurate issue resolution.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Oracle EBS products and services; adhere to and reinforce all policies, procedures, and guidelines; understand the organization (departments, personnel, and their responsibilities); develop or improve on internal systems knowledge.
  • Commit to building and maintaining an agile, growth minded, team with diverse experiences and perspectives. Grow team competencies to adapt to new business models, technologies, and processes.
  • Flexibility to adjust and lead teams to accept change by encouraging alternative thinking. This includes changes in organization, duties, processes, procedures, and responsibilities.
  • Participate in requirements definition sessions to gain a general perspective on the business objective(s) or business problem that is to be addressed by the system.
  • Have input into the project planning phase of all development projects to ensure accurate timeframes are assigned to each project management phase.
  • Hiring and maintaining staff, assisting with design efforts, and overseeing task estimates and timelines as a base for resource planning, training, and scheduling.
  • Efficiently and effectively allocate resources to the various tasks on multiple projects.
  • Coordinate between project teams to ensure that all schedules are met.
  • Participate in review of specifications to ensure that requirements are met, standards are followed, and development is complete.
  • Coordinate handoff of functional specifications between technical analysts and developers.
  • Coordinate with project teams and steering committees' members the progress, key decisions, issues, resource changes, scope changes, etc. on an up-to-date and timely manner.
  • Develop strategy and plans for on call support of applications. Coordinate plans with Supporting team(s).
  • Develop strategies for implementation of applications at remote sites. This includes strategies to deliver users interfaces and reports.
  • Coordinate with production team(s) to ensure developed applications are implemented and executing as expected in the production environment. Also ensure that system related tasks are being performed (e.g. scheduled jobs, maintenance, etc.).
  • Participate in new project opportunities to lend insight, provide technical knowledge, and determine impact on IT team.
  • Stay abreast of technology to provide alternative solutions to user requirements.
  • Provide challenging and stretching tasks and assignments for direct reports. Manages employee performance through goal setting and frequent development discussions including clear performance objectives, candid appraisals, and clearly defined development plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in information technology program management.
  • Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, ITSM and ITIL principals
  • Knowledge of Oracle on-premise, Hybrid Cloud EBS, WebCenter, AOIC, BI and GRC operations support
  • Competent with project management methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate project goals to staff.
  • Experience in dealing with personal issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead others and to provide professional leadership to more junior PM and Analyst.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources across multiple projects in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow up skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to relate well with others and create a positive work environment.
  • Interest in assisting persons in career development.


Preferred:

  • 5+ years of management experience in related field
  • Knowledge of Finance, Accounting and Supply Chain Management practices and standards
  • SCRUM Certification
