Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Engineer who apply a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and procedures related to Client Management and virtul desktop platforms. Incumbents are competent to work on highly complex assignments and perform a full range of technical support activities. The focus of this position will be to help with strategy with a security mindset to apply across all pillars in the client platform engineering space; providing technical insight and mapping a path to help be fully security compliant and remain in a N or N-1 space across the enterprise with all hardware/software platforms.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create the strategy and roadmap around security and compliance on endpoints
  • Work closely with the security team as liaison on security initiatives around end points
  • Work closely with the infrastructure teams to create a process and cadence to ensure all virtual desktops can be maintained at an n-1 standard
  • Identify opportunities for self service capabilities and automated life cycle management for virtual desktops removing/reducing dependencies on technology staff
  • Solid understanding of network topology, security appliances, firewalls, and standard security processes.
  • Software automation/Scripting (VBScript/PowerShell)
  • Change Management Process
  • Designing and implementing test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans
  • Deliver high-quality solutions to our team members to ensure technology is consistent with their business objectives.
  • Ability to independently create, document, and convey a technical solution to leadership and those outside of their direct working partners.
  • Technical meetings and presentations with team members and technology leadership

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or industry standard certification in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of strong implementation/support experience
  • 3+ years of experience around security, end point protection, and compliance.
  • A comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of computing processes and technology including, servers, gateways, communications equipment, workstations, software and hardware and associated diagnostics and tools.
  • O/S: Win10
  • Strong scripting skills in VBScript and/or PowerShell
  • Active Directory / Group Policy Management
  • Maturity of judgment under pressure/ability to diagnose level of team member needs and make work assignments accordingly.
  • Considerable end-user interface by phone and/or in-person necessitates strong (clear) verbal communication skills and credible team member presence.
  • Good written skills and the ability to contribute to and/or lead the written proposal process.
  • Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Commitment to quality and personal ethics.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
