Senior Financial Analyst - Health of the Business

Role Summary:

This Senior Financial Analyst role is a role focused on understanding how CCI’s financial performance compares to its peers, competitors and historical CCI tends.

This candidate performs and delivers financial analysis, modeling, and reporting to support the Health of the Business initiative, designed to increase focus and awareness on performance trends and value creation in the business. The candidate is responsible for Monthly and Quarterly Health of the Business analysis, Quarterly Peer Review presentations, Industry Peer Scorecard, and ongoing analysis of CCI’s financial health. This candidate will partner with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure clear communication of deliverables throughout the year. 

This role is fast paced, high-profile and requires multi-tasking. This candidate should be a seasoned, productive professional contributor with deep understanding of financial statements and their drivers. This role is responsible for large, complex projects, with work that requires independence.  Guidance will be provided on a regular basis but primarily on unusual or complex issues. This analyst determines and develops an approach to projects and is expected to review reports/and modeling with financial leadership. Work on this team typically involves analysis that includes internal and external data.  Expert level of Excel proficiency.

 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs reporting - Develops presentations to communicate financial results and analysis, including monthly and quarterly Health of the Business analysis and presentations, quarterly Peer Review presentations, and quarterly Industry Peer Scorecard.

  • Performs financials analysis - Develops financial and operational analyses and identifies emerging trends, including Return on Invested Capital analysis and EBITDA Margin Industry Peer Comparative analysis.

  • Performs data analysis - Gathers and compiles data used for identifying complex business trends/dynamic and provides recommendations. Develops method to access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources.

  • Performs modeling - Creates, rebuilds, audits, tests, distributes and tracks financial models, reports and dashboards. Recommends and implements changes; analyzes and reviews submitted data and resolves questions and/or problems, including Incentive Compensation calculations.

  • Monitors and optimizes business processes - Implements process improvement, standardizes reporting and modeling across functional areas

  • Project Management – Facilitates partnership, coordinates stakeholder communication, and completes assignments to support project objectives. 

 
Supervision:

Nature of work requires independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues; Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct ‘customers' of the process.  Expected to bring recommendations and independently troubleshoot and problem solve.

Qualifications:

Minimum
  • 5+ years of experience required in related field (i.e. Finance, Operations, Business, etc.); Or 3+ years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.

  • Requires excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Advanced financial modeling and data analysis presentation experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.

  • Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills demonstrating a consistent attention to detail; solid organization and workflow skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Highly motivated with ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to flex to perform ad hoc analysis.

 
Preferred
  • BS/BA in related discipline strongly preferred (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics etc.). 

  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired.

  • Experience in Hyperion Essbase or another multidimensional database highly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Tableau preferred.
