As a Talent Consultant, you'll lead, consult and execute talent practices within Talent Management, which areas may include but are not limited to: workforce planning, performance & development, talent review & succession management and career mobility. Working closely with other functional and divisional stakeholders, you'll apply your talent management expertise to the development, design and implementation of innovative talent management programs and processes. You’ll wear two hats as you influence talent management for the division of Cox Enterprises as well as across the enterprise’s family of businesses as a member of the Talent Management Center of Excellence. As a thought leader and SME, you’ll develop effective partnerships and strong relationships, examine internal and external trends, apply your knowledge to develop insights and consult with clients and support the creation of talent strategies that effectively identify and develop the organization’s talent. As a project/program leader, you’ll translate and execute these talent strategies within CEI and across the enterprise’s family of businesses.

Although you'll receive general supervision, you'll frequently work independently on projects, with periodic updates to your supervisor. However, you may seek guidance on increasingly complex projects or employee issues.

Thought Leadership/Data Analysis – Uses data and reporting of workforce trends to advise and support decision making and action planning. Leverages design thinking methodologies to explore and provide recommendations for workforce challenges.
• Identifies, assesses and diagnoses organizational challenges through empathy- data gathering, benchmarking, research and analysis; provides recommendations to enhance talent programs and service delivery based on internal and external trends.
• Partners with analytics to define success measurements, surface insights from talent data and evaluate enterprise talent measurement impact (e.g. tracks movement against success measures, identifies gaps for development, etc.) to drive more targeted workforce solutions.
• Leads and manages a range of special projects from design to implementation; supports ongoing improvements to practices/processes, (e.g. workforce planning pilot and community, selection assessment RFP, change management due to competency transition)

Project Execution and Management – Serves as consultant to HR, leaders and employees and provide subject-matter expertise when executing key talent practices with the goal of identifying, assessing, managing, retaining and growing internal talent.
• Partners with HR, leaders and boundary partners to execute talent management programs and processes including talent review and succession planning, career development and mobility, and performance management for CEI and enterprise groups; develops the tools and methods to execute and continuously review and evolve programs; gathers feedback and data to make process changes and enhancements as needed.
• Works with enterprise technology teams to enable talent processes through the cloud solution, including gathering and delivering tool requirements, leading communications and training of enterprise tool functionality, leading the development of reporting, and ensuring a modern user experience.
• Leads and consults on talent-related requests (e.g. planned reorgs, key open roles, acquired companies)
• Works with Talent Development group to develop processes to identify organizational capability gaps and make recommendations (e.g. runs annual nomination process)


- Graduate degree in one of the following areas preferred: I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, Talent Management, HR, Organizational Behavior
- Strong technical and analytical skills; mastery of excel and the ability to design creative metrics and tools
- Strong presentation skills; the ability to present and explain complex methods and analyses and a passion for storytelling with data
- 5 – 7 years of related experience preferred designing and implementing talent management programs or processes, particularly focused on talent assessments, succession management, talent review, pipeline development, workforce analytics, governance and business process design
- Exceptional communicator and bridge builder; able to meet new stakeholders, quickly understand their requirements/needs, and built their perspectives into data collection
- Must have previous work experience in a corporate setting and possess skills in the following key areas: Coaching, consulting, building relationships, facilitation, supporting and leading change, influencing, project management.
- Must be a self-driven, organized, autonomous worker, willing to dig-in and work on a variety of topics within the domain, as well as related topics in the broader HR arena
- Organizational design experience a plus
