Product Director (Compliance)

We are looking for a product leader to bring both thought leadership and a focus on execution to our Compliance Product.  

This leader must have a mix of strong mix of analytical thinking and product management experience working with products geared towards lenders and dealers.  We are looking for a strong background in automotive finance, a pragmatic understanding of retail dealer operations, expertise in financing regulatory compliance, and a solid experience set in product management of B2B/B2E software products.  

A candidate with specific experience in automotive retail is strongly desired.  We’re seeking a highly collaborative product leader that is capable of leading 1-2 engineering teams and working cross-functionally with other departments.  Deep familiarity with Agile Product Development methods as well as strong technical literacy is a must as are strong communication, research and planning, client relations, and presentation skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The key success criteria for this position is ensuring the healthy and steady growth of our compliance business.
  • Serve as the advocate for the voice of Dealers and Lenders product development.  
  • Ability to prioritize and balances the needs of lenders and dealers as well as balance the needs of different lender segments in an objective, data-driven manner. 
  • Ability to balance architectural investment with client-focused requirements in an objective, data-driven manner. 
  • Lead team members in executing the business and product strategy through a well-planned roadmap.
  • Motivate and inspire the engineering teams via the creation, development and execution of the roadmap.
  • Partner closely with business operations, marketing and other solution groups to ensure coordination of efforts as we manage compliance in the marketplace.
  • Monitor key KPIs around product performance (operational, technical, usage/experience) and leverage that data to shape the roadmap and make product prioritization decisions. 
  • Strong client and user focus. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree. MBA preferred.
  • Background and experience in Financial Services, Automotive, and Management Consulting a strong preference.
  • Proven experience managing B2B/B2E software products with 5+ years product management experience or comparable, related disciplines in software businesses. 
  • Strong business operations and financial acumen 
  • Technical savvy and aptitude such that the candidate can participate actively in plans to transform and modernize our software. 
  • Able to interact with all levels of the organization up to the GM level (AVP/VP). 
  • Experience leading a sizable product (10+ engineers; 15-30M+ revenue)
  • Demonstrated strong relationship-building and communication skills both across an organization and with external partners 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and change.
  • Experience and comfort working with an engineering team using Enterprise Agile / Scaled Agile Framework as the SDLC method
  • Team player with excellent work habits and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.  
  • Willingness to travel ( 25% )
  • Position will be located in our newly opened, state-of-the-art New Hyde Park, NY R&D facility .
