Job Description:

Position Summary

  • Consumer Deposits organization
  • Support multi-generational projects that are part of the strategic enterprise pricing engine solution across multiple lines of business
  • Participate in the design of new features and enhancement of existing functions for the pricing engine which is currently pricing rates for over half a trillion dollars in deposit balances
  • Engage with various line of business (LOB) partners and technical experts to collaborate on providing strategic solutions that will modernize our Consumer platform
  • Contribute to the advancement of fee processing and optimization that will result in greater transparency and enhanced customer experience
  • Get involved with highly visible applications in the Consumer domain which are part of the Unified Critical Application List (UCAL) which is a method of prioritization for the speed of resolution / service restoral for those applications that are deemed to provide the most critical customer / client servicing functions
  • Collaborate in person with LOB partners, application and solution architects, developers, testers, and other key contributors for a personalized experience
  • Looking for a well rounded technologist who has good experience with how software applications work and has good leadership skills.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience through multiple software implementations and possesses both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies along with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to provide technical direction and oversight to lead a team as they deliver technology solutions
  • Knowledge of design and architectural patterns as well as Agile and DevOps principles and use them to develop both solutions and processes for delivering the features
  • Capable of supporting line of business product owners from a technical lens by ensuring systems design and business requirements are aligned and developed as such
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with scrum masters and developers to ensure requirements are well defined and capable of being easily translated to stories
  • Ability to develop frameworks for solving a range of complex problems and foresee future problems and define resolutions/new opportunities

Desired Skills

  • Banking industry experience in Consumer Deposits or familiarity with similar business and a strong acumen
  • Working knowledge of products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used
  • Familiarity with a variety of technology stacks including Java, IBM Web Sphere, Oracle and mainframe DB2 databases
