  • Key responsibilities include:

    • Manages architecture design, configuration, and implementation
    • Responsible for instructing, directing, prioritizing and reviewing the work of a small group of associates, contractors, and strategic partner resources
    • Interfaces with stakeholders across the LOB and technology and support functions to understand emerging requirements and to ensure goals are met
    • Operates as evangelist and the face of Glassbox within the bank, while being responsible for user satisfaction
    • Planning, organizing and controlling of activities including overall project plans
    • Provides input on performance management and personnel decisions
    • As appropriate, contributes to budget and forecast activities

    Required Skills

    • Understanding how different components in a web system fit together and affect each other, including software, hardware, virtual devises, and networking
    • Good communication and project lead skills
    • Understanding of TCP/IP networking
    • In-depth knowledge of data encryption, including TLS and PFS
    • Knowledge of load balancers (LTM/GTMs), firewalls and other network devices
    • Knowledge of digital certificates, keys, keystores, and certificate authorities and how they work
    • Self-motivated individual that can operate independently, own deliverables end-to-end, and overcome obstacles to achieve end-results with minimal supervision
    Desired Skills

     Working understanding and experience with HSMs, network taps and packet-broker devices such as Gigamon
    • Application lead experience, especially for vendor-owned applications
    • CCNP and/or CCIE certification
    • 5 or more years Linux experience
    • Experience working in a multi-data center, J2EE environment
    • Java application hosting
    • Understanding of web application technologies including JavaScript, Ajax and restful APIs
    • Experience with nosql data stores and tools, especially Cassandra & Elasticsearch
    • Experience with real-user, network or other monitoring tools 
    • Experience with Bank of America or other companies' change management and incident management tools and processes
