Job Description:

Position entails conducting analysis and validation of various Collections and Recovery initiatives and strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Gather and analyze data and optimize metrics on the performance of Collections and Recovery strategies
  • Work with strategy owners for designing reports for Ops 2020 initiatives that will track the Net Credit Loss and Expense savings.
  • Maintain summaries and incident reports impacting different Ops2020 initiatives
  • Understand the data behind these reports that are causing shifts in trends, if any, and present to business partners.
  • Own strategies across all of Collections & Recovery products from a performance validation standpoint and create performance metrics monthly.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting packages by partnering with the data management team
  • Work with data that is housed in SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop and Teradata databases
  • Position must be able to support multiple concurrent priorities and work effectively across multiple teams.

Required Skills:

  • 4 years of experience in data analysis
  • 2 years of experience with SAS and/or SQL for data gathering and analysis
  • Skilled with MS Office (Advanced Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong networking skills with ability to drive and influence outcomes
  • Strong problem solving and planning skills to drive improved efficiency
  • Ability to work in complex, fast paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to present to executive level leadership
  • Strong organizational skills, very detail oriented & ability to shift and manage priorities appropriately

Desired Skills:

  • Previous Collections and Recovery and/or call center experience preferred
  • Project Management experience
  • Finance experience

Enterprise Description:

Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level. Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports and updates for senior management. May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. 2-5 years experience preferred.
