Bank of America’s Consumer and Small Business Risk Program Design & Execution team is accountable for driving adherence to policies and standards across Consumer & Small Business, including design, implementation and execution of routines, tools, reporting and analysis to ensure effective risk management.

As a Business Control Manager you will

Implement and govern Consumer programs in order to drive adherence to enterprise policies and standards. Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Acts in the lead capacity for integrating various risk management policy and standard requirements into the business activities by developing and executing risk management programs
  • Interact with and influence key stakeholders across Consumer & Small Business and enterprise policy owners and support functions
  • Identify and communicate key themes and updates on work program across different levels of the organization
  • Interacts with second line of defense partners on activities to support risk governance
  • Responsible for the production of scorecards and program status materials on a regular basis
  • Supports quality assurance routines to ensure adherence to relevant policies and standards
  • Participate in regulatory exams and internal audits, providing evidence of adherence to policies and standards
  • Develops and maintains effective reporting and communication routines to achieve senior leadership awareness of program performance

Job Requirements (at minimum must have 1):

You’re a person who has (required skills)

  • 5+ years of work experience, with a track record of leading complex, highly visible programs
  • 3+ years of experience in business controls, compliance, risk or other comparable control function role
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint skills

And you are a person who:

Preferred Skills:

You’ll be better prepared if you have (desired skills)

  • Experience with regulatory inquiries, responses and exams
  • Previous experience as owner of a policy or standard
  • Deep knowledge of and ability to navigate the Consumer & Small Business organization
