Job Description:

Responsible for medium - large projects for an operations department, product or business unit. Provides consulting expertise to line managers on productivity issues, analyzes market and operational impact in the business brought about by the project parameters. Researches and documents organizational reviews, workflow analysis, management and staff analysis. Develops project plans including estimates of cost and resources required. Defines project scope to others outside of operations that may become involved in or impacted by the project. Requires a thorough knowledge of the operations area.

Line of Business Description:

Manages and provides cross-functional support for Mortgage and Vehicle Servicing Operations (MVSO) program and project level governance along with day-to-day oversight of the MVSO Strategic Initiatives BAU and Ops2020 portfolio reporting, change management adherence, controls and engagement with Consumer Ops2020 Central Team.  Serves as secondary contact to MVSO Portfolio Business Manager for critical change initiatives, provides assistance to staff and holds team accountable. Partners with MVSO Strategic Initiatives leadership to ensure ongoing management of the BAU and Ops2020 portfolios including executive level governance, Consumer Central Ops2020 engagement, tech and benefits tracking and overall program management change management controls and adherence. 

In addition, Manages projects limited in scope to LOB products, processes or functions although some may have cross-functional or inter-departmental implications. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation.  Plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and socialize potential risk mitigation strategies. Effectively communicates with executives, managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed.

Candidate must think strategically and analytically, understand the big picture, drive success, know when to escalate, ask the right questions, communicate with impact, reprioritize work to meet deadlines and drive decisions across multiple teams and partners. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.  Working independently, using process excellence expertise and proven demonstration of strategic thinking and tactical planning, develop concise and succinct presentations that will influence dialogue at all executive levels including the expertise in knowing the fine balance between detailed and high-level messages.  Must be able to work within compressed deadlines driving planning and execution.

Required Skills

  • Experience with presenting to LOB senior leaders and financial/legal/compliance/risk partners
  • Experience with Ops2020/OpEx methodology including execution of technology cost and benefits business cases
  • Experienced change manager with knowledge of banks change management policies and standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen (Mortgage Products/Mortgage Servicing Background a plus)
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Highly Skilled specific to: Visio, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data

Desired Skills

  • College Degree Preferred
  • Both Waterfall and Agile Experience Preferred
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Certification) Preferred
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt)
  • Experience with BAC Change and Project Management practices is preferred
