SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES - The Network Security Engineer has accountability for researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting network security solutions. You will utilize in-depth technical knowledge and business requirements to help design and implement a secure solution.

It is imperative that you have a solid knowledge of Cisco ISE, advanced router/switch ability, 802.1x, and 3rd party security controls.

You will regularly collaborate with experts both in country and in other regions, so excellent communication skills are very important. If you are seeking a demanding role within Global Information Security (GIS) and have the required skills, this will be a great opportunity for you. Typically, applicants should have 5 to 7 years of cyber-security or engineering experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security or engineering discipline
  • Data analytics experience using Splunk, Cloudera Data Warehouse, Guardium Big Data Intelligence or similar data analytics platforms
  • Solid experience with designing and deploying security solutions for Network Access Control as well as experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Proxies, DLP, DDoS, and Malware inspections solutions
  • Demonstrate expertise with Cisco ISE and IEEE 802.1x
  • Experience with Cisco ISE and HPE/Aruba, as well as other with other third party network security controls such as Bluecoat, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Juniper, F5 ASM, Cisco, or FireEye
  • Solid experience configuring, deploying, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and components in a medium to large business
  • Cisco ACS RADIUS and TACACS experience
  • Knowledge Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) / Certificate Authority
  • Python
  • Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
  • Ability to understand the requirements and analyze the technical feasibility and design against the requirements.
  • Able to work effectively with remote locations including onsite/offshore stakeholder streams
  • Knowledge and experience architecting complex enterprise cyber-security solutions

Enterprise Position Overview

As an experienced professional, provide advice to client management with regard to moderately complex security issues. Assists in the review, development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques. Coordinates the reporting data security incidents. Provides technical support to the client and management and staff in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products. Monitors existing and proposed security standard setting groups. State and Federal legislation and regulations. Identifies and escalates changes that will affect information security policy, standards and procedures. Executes security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs. Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols. Administers security policies to control access to systems and maintains the company firewall. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Work leadership may be provided by assigning work and resolving problems. Typically 5-7 years of IT experience.
