Essential Functions:

Associate at this level is a qualified, seasoned sales officer, preferably with Aviation specialization, responsible for handling all aspects of a client relationship on large, complex transactions. Associate will possess proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise and strong execution skills.

  • Willingness to work as part of a sales team and partner with other peer sales reps and support associates.
  • Enhance client, industry and bank partner relationships, generate sales opportunities and tailor superior solutions
  • Educate client, industry and bank partner relationships by demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of the features, benefits and applications of available products and services designed for the aircraft market
  • Demonstrate macro level knowledge of credit risk policy and internal credit ratings to determine client’s creditworthiness and strategic client relevance.
  • Develop and foster mutually beneficial relationships with industry contacts including aviation dealers, brokers, insurers, OEM sales staff, maintenance providers, attorneys, aircraft management companies and component suppliers
  • Establish credibility so as to be viewed as a trusted business advisor within the client organization, aviation industry network and product partner of choice with bank partners.

This position is posted as a Sr Leasing Sales Specialist, but is flexible to be filled as a Leasing Sales Specialist based on the skill set/experience of the candidate.

Preferred Education:

Undergraduate degree – accounting, finance, economics, math or other business concentration; MBA preferred.

Preferred Prior Work Experience:

5 – 10 years of Leasing, Sales, and Credit Experience within BAL, other bank LOB or the financial industry with a proven track record of success; minimum 5 years’ experience within the aircraft leasing function; significant experience with both tax structure and debt financing products
