This position supports the Food and Agriculture industry. Must have experience as a Sr. Relationship Manager in this industry to be considered. Office location is flexible to major Midwest domiciled cities. Territory will be the Midwest Region.

The Global Commercial Banking Midwest Specialties Team is seeking a Sr. Relationship Manager (SRM) focusing on Food and Agriculture related companies and institutions. The SRM is responsible for advising on and delivering financial services and products to meet our Food and Agricultural client’s needs. In addition, the SRM is accountable for prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships.

The SRM is responsible to assess the risks and impacts from both the clients and the bank‘s perspective for development and implementation of an overall client strategy. The SRM must be well versed in credit structuring and underwriting and all Bank of America products and services for proper identification of cross-selling opportunities.

The SRM is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating key team members, including the Industry Investment Banker, in analysis and execution in the effective delivery of their products and services to clients and prospects.

In addition to the SRM responsibilities outlined above, this individual will also serve as the Industry Lead/Strategist for the Midwest Food and Agricultural team in helping drive revenue growth, provide coaching and education, and help drive new business development.

The SRM must be willing to travel to attend nationwide Food and Agriculture conferences throughout the year.


  • Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships.
  • Proven sales skills and experience, including planning, executive and follow up of client meetings.
  • Series 7, 63 (Must obtain series 7 & 63 license within 180 days of start date.)
  • Proven credit structuring and underwriting experience
  • Must be well versed and educated in the Food and Agriculture industry including food products, agronomy and dairy.
  • Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of Food and Agriculture clients and industry trends.
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial statements, ultimate statements, and complex financial models.
  • This role requires a minimum of 10+ years experience in Food and Agriculture Commercial Lending
  • BS/BA required

Desired skills:

  • Highly desirable to have active networking contacts and Centers of Influence established in the Midwest area
  • MBA preferred
