Job Description:

The Offers Management team of Collections & Recovery develops and monitors the performance of special customer programs aimed to reduce Credit Loss and improve the financial lives of our delinquent customers. The Consumer Product Strategy Analyst must be able to work independently to develop recommendations that consider their research and analysis, the regulatory framework, and competing strategies. The analyst must then utilize communication and influencing techniques to build consensus with cross-functional leaders and drive implementation through partnership with the Operations organization. This high visibility position offers a unique opportunity to interact with senior managers and produce significant business results.

This team is responsible for creating/revising/monitoring special offer programs within Collections & Recovery including Settlements, Account Offsets, APR Reduction, repossession, and others on a range of products from Consumer Card, Business Card, Consumer Vehicle Lending, and Home Equity Line of Credit.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as demonstrated by 3+ years of experience
  • Quantitative analytics experience, leveraging skills like data mining, performance forecasting, or statistics
  • Strong ability to prepare and leverage data in order to recognize business opportunity and drive results
  • 4-year degree
  • Skilled with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient at written and oral communication, including presentation skills

Desired skills:

  • 2+ years programming and analytics experience with SAS/SQL, Python, or R
  • Experience working within the bank's data infrastructure (BACARDI, The W, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Experience with business case development/financial statements
  • Experience with process design/redesign (ex. Six Sigma, Agile project management)
  • Advanced Degree (MBA in Operations and/or Statistics)
  • Experience managing projects and maintaining project timelines with cross-functional contributors and Test/Control design and statistical analysis of results

Enterprise description:

Responsible for performing complex analysis aimed at improving portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting and operational performance for consumer products and the related divisions such as credit cards. While this position has no direct people management responsibilities, it does require the ability to interact with business partners both within and external to the department. This position requires being the subject matter expert on multiple business-related and technical-related topics and an ability to independently drive strategic improvements. Key functions involve owning asset quality monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancements. Responsible for conducting interviews, training, Card Strategy Management / Consumer Product Analysts, and mentoring less tenured analysts. Communicates business trends creates financial assessments and interprets risk analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Detailed knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. 3+ years Strategic Analysis experience preferred.
