This two-day transition summit will feature interactive and informative panel discussions, recruiter training, and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for service members, veterans, and military spouses. ? August 21  |  Afterburner Military Transition Seminar

Each Military Transition Seminar is a strategic career planning experience designed specifically for exiting veterans and based on the nationally acclaimed veteran transition guide Down Range. Seminars are created and delivered by veterans who made the successful transition to civilian careers, and they include tactical job search skills that focus on the pathway to a civilian career as opposed to just a job.

? August 22  |  Keeping a Career on the Move Military Spouse Symposium

This full-day professional development education symposium is designed especially for military spouses and is presented by MOAA Spouse Programs in partnership with the Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Program, with support from USAA. The event kicks off with Real Spouses, Real Stories, a panel and Q&A addressing issues related to military spouse employment. Following the panel discussion, attendees will learn how to stand out in a crowd with the perfect elevator pitch, how to utilize LinkedIn in their employment search, and hear about non-traditional employment ideas and opportunities. The event is FREE and open to all active duty, reserve, National Guard, retiree, veteran, and surviving military spouses, service members and veterans. A complementary lunch is included.

Employers, Veteran Service Organizations and Volunteers (over 18) requiring base access support must submit their base access information by August 5, 2017. 

If you do not have existing base access privileges you will need submit your information using one of the two options below. Your information will be forwarded to the base security forces for vetting in order to grant access to the base.

• Option 1: Email Protected Word Document  Please download the protected word document titled Transition Summit Employee Registration below. You will be prompted for a password when you try to open the document. Please email Mick Mahon (milton.mahon.1@us.af.mil) and Selwyn Stephens (selwyn.stephens.1@us.af.mil) to receive the password. Once you enter the password and have access to the document, please complete the document by providing all of the information requested. Any individual attending the summit will need to submit their information. Save the document and send it as an attachment to Mick Mahon (milton.mahon.1@us.af.mil) and Selwyn Stephens (selwyn.stephens.1@us.af.mil). Please DO NOT send any of this information in the body of an email; it must be submitted via the password protected document.
