Cohort II of the Veterans Entrepreneurial Jumpstart (VEJ) program is now scheduled for October 28 through November 5, 2016.  It will be held on the Saint Joseph’s University campus in Philadelphia, PA.

This program is provided at no charge to all Honorably Discharged Veterans, regardless of disability status.  We accept veterans from all over the country, and transportation is included for the second onsite phase of the three phase program.  Additionally, veterans will be housed for the nine-day Phase II portion of the program in a hotel, and all meals and materials will be provided at no cost. 

We conducted Cohort I in the Spring of 2015.  We had 19 graduates, and the program was outstanding!

Veterans Entrepreneurial Jumpstart (VEJ): This free program is a product of Saint Joseph’s University.  Delivered in three phases, veterans first complete an online self-study program designed to provide a foundation in business fundamentals and develop a business plan.  The second phase consists of a seven-day on campus residency at St. Joe’s, complete with guest lecturers, panel discussions, one-on-one mentoring, and social outings - finally culmination in a “shark tank” presentation by all veterans and a graduation dinner and awards ceremony.  The third phase is for six months following the completion of phase two, and consists of in-kind services ranging from website development to tax and accounting assistance.  The use of a mentor is also available for this final phase.
