Rail Transportation Industry Hiring Fair

Join us for a rail transportation industry hiring fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, guard and reserve members, and military spouses. This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers with a background in, or interest starting a career in, the rail transportation industry. A workshop for veterans and other military job seekers that focuses on resume writing, tips for successfully navigating hiring fairs, military skill translation, and interviewing will start at 8:30 a.m.

General Electric Employment Workshop

This GE employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning an hour and a half prior to the hiring fair. This will be followed one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered and walk-in participants to be conducted throughout the day.  Mentoring sessions focus on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veterans and service member participants.

This GE-sponsored hiring event, focusing on careers in the rail transportation industry, is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Amtrak, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the Indiana Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion, Goodwill Industries International, NBC News, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, and other local partners.
